As part of the national Lynch syndrome project, the national lynch syndrome nursing team will be delivering another workshop, with an overview on the Lynch syndrome diagnostic pathway all the way to mainstreaming germline genetic testing and setting-up new clinics.

Hear from Laura Monje-Garcia (National Lead Nurse for the Lynch Syndrome Project, North Thames GMSA), Tracie Miles (Associate Director of Nursing and Midwifery, South West GMSA), and your regional Lynch syndrome nurses to find out more about Lynch syndrome, the testing pathway, and the role of the nurse. This workshop will have especial focus on mainstreaming germline genetic testing for Lynch syndrome and setting-up nurse-led clinics to provide this service. During the workshop:

  1. There will be an introduction to Lynch syndrome diagnostic pathway
  2. CNSs will be divided into colorectal and endometrial cancer groups to cover the tumour testing for your pathway only
  3. Nurses will go back to the main group to discuss mainstreaming germline genetic testing for Lynch syndrome and training provided
  4. During the last 30 minutes, CNSs will be divided into small groups for Q&A about the mainstreaming training provided and support available

You only need to attend the workshop once. Dates available:

Wednesday 14th June, 11:30-13:00

Monday 11th September, 11:30-13:00
