Having trained as a Clinical Scientist Clinical Haematology in Manchester, Dörte Wren joined the Clinical Genomics laboratory at the Royal Marsden gaining expertise in genomic testing across all cancer entities and developing a particular interest in Haemato-Oncology. She completed her FRCPath and Clinical Doctorate as part of the Higher Specialist Scientist Training programme in Molecular Pathology of acquired disease and continued working as Consultant Clinical Scientist at Royal Marsden during which time she was involved in the GEL 100K project, participated in various national and international consortia helped with the implementation of NGS-based testing into routine service.
In August 2020 Dörte joined the North-West GLH as scientific lead for Haemato-Oncology before returning to London in April 2022 taking up the role as scientific lead for Cancer Genomics for the North Thames Genomic Laboratory Hub.
